Error message
I have XP Pro. Lately, it takes forever to load a
program and run. I've run check disk which took about 8 hours and defrag. It worked okay for awhile and now is doing it again. When you turn off the computer and restart, I get an error message Primary hard disk: S.M.A.R.T. status BAD, backup & replace. What is bad? My hard drive. Do I need a whole new one or do I need to replace SMART (whatever that is) and how do I do it? Any help is appreciated and you can email me. Pat |
