Hi,

I have not been too satisfied with the news reader that my ISP
provides so I downloaded Agent for a trial. It seems pretty good but
I wondered if anyone would like to comment on Agent or the news reader
they are using.

Thank you!

Thank you for your quick response. I'm thinking I'll buy it. Guess
what though? They've discontinued the FreeAgent. It says it right on
their home page. Or, anyway, the page I first linked up to. But it's
only like $29/year and since the ISP provided one isn't
satisfactory...

Right-o! Cheers! and Merry Christmas to you as well!

So do I.

Hey, Smiley: I have been using FreeAgent as long as I have been on-line
(probably 20 years or more).
I have never used any other news reader, so perhaps I don't know what (if
anything) I'm missing, but to me reeAgent has always been everything I needed in
this department.

Cheers! and Merry Christmas.

I use Outlook Express, which is already on your computer and costs nothing.

I also use Outlook Express.

I see no reason to pay money for a newsreader or to use a newsserver other
than msnews.microsoft.com. In the past I used newsgroups.comcast.net, but
msnews.microsoft.com is better because I do not access any groups other than
MS's.

You are using Indiana's news.iquest.net

Depends if the OP has any interests outside Microsoft! ;-)
