Taskbar

Hi , how do I stop programs loading into the taskbar on start-up. I want to
stop various things being loaded up into taskbar on start-up.

1: Right click on the Taskbar | Properties | Customize. Find the icons in
question and change the behavior. You have a choice of Always Show, Always
Hide and Hide When Inactive.

If still not satisfied:

2: Start | Run and type in:

msconfig

Select the Startup tab and uncheck any programs you do not need at startup.
(Probably quite a few).

Right click or double click on the icons or go in the programs that
placed the icon on the Taskbar and see if they have an option the be
stopped from starting at boot time. If you can't find any option to
stop them you can use the windows built-in Msconfig utility or other
utilities like Autoruns
