Does anybody know what search term should I use to look for vendors for
this cable:

https://i.ibb.co/d4F8g8k/2019-05-17-13-34-04.png

The cable is boxed in red for easy reference. My old Toshiba Satellite
C850-1NU came with a charger but it looks like this particular cable is
damaged so I need to replace it. the rest of the charger is fine as far
as I can tell. I know this cable is damaged because I need to fiddle
with it for power to flow through so clearly it's the cable that is
faulty. I have used this charger for nearly 5 to 6 years when it came
with the laptop..

this cable:

It looks to be a figure 8 (IEC C7) power cable.

I had a cable like yours with a fault. With a bit of twisting it
became obvious where the fault was. It was the red fuse holder clips.
I bent them a bit to make them tighter.

Which end do you need to fiddle with? It may not be the cable but the
female connector it connects to.

It's the other end that is country-specific.

Oops! I was wrong about that. What I should have said was:
"It's not obvious to anyone who doesn't look very hard."

Sorry about that - senior moment.

I wasn't sure if it was UK, but it's obviously not US (that would be a
much smaller plug).

His pic didn't 'distinctly' illustrate the two (important!) ends of the
cable in question.

I 'think'/ assume/ this pic shows both ends much better
https://www.coywood.co.uk/ekmps/shop...er-35733-p.jpg

from
https://www.coywood.co.uk/toshiba-sa...er-35733-p.asp

.... illustrating both the BS 1363 mains end and the 3 pin C5 'mickey
mouse' or cloverleaf charger end.

I couldn't tell from his pic if the charger/coupler end was 2 or 3 pin.
