searching network folders

I have a user that just received a new pc with win xp sp2. She deals with a
lot of files on network shared drives. She can perform a search for the
document she is looking for but it returns no results even though the file
does exist. She can perform the same search on her old w2k pc and it finds
it no problem. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? We
turned off her firewall, but it made no difference.

Is she searching by file name or by contents? Is searching by file
contents, see if the information at http://support.teloep.org/xpsrch.htm

In XP, it defaults to just searching local drives. Make sure she changes
the location to My Computer so that it will also search her mapped network
shares.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have a user with the same problem.
Verified path is correct on network, not local drive, but can't find anything
when it searches.
Using partial text of file name, which works fine on other systems and finds
the files.
