Where do I find my DHCP Client ID?
Hello,
I am installing a wireless router network and the manual says that my cable company Optus Australia are a WAN type: Dynamic IP and one has to supply a DHCP 'Client ID' to be set as a router identity. Where do I find this info ? Is it the same as our normal Optus Cable ID name, the computer name it recognises, or something else? Thanks. rock |

If not, I doubt that it matters what you use. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. Go to start, run, type cmd. From a command prompt type ipconfig /all. ( a
space between ipconfig and /all). -- JOHN TYCE "Steve Winograd" wrote in message ...
