Default windows xp messenger vs messenger for win 98

Greetings,

Unfortunately, video conversations in Messenger are available for Windows XP only. However,
you can use Netmeeting (which is in Windows 98) by having your contact(s) on Windows 98 click
the Actions menu in their Messenger, and click Start Netmeeting (this option isn't available
by default in XP Messenger clients).
