Greetings,

What type of error messages are you seeing? Yes, Messenger video conversations are only
available in Windows XP. If you want to have a video conversation with someone not using
Windows XP, you'll have to use Netmeeting. The Netmeeting option isn't enabled by default in
Windows XP, just ask your contact using a previous version of Messenger to click the Actions
menu then Start Netmeeting -- you'll be able to accept the invitation in XP.

If I remember correctly Netmeeting is in XP - you can get
to it by typing "conf" in the run dialog box.

Regards.

Hi Mark,

You can do that, but since there's no directory server, you'd have to know the IP of your
contact and such (and they'll have to find and start Netmeeting on their Windows version).
Just having someone initiate it from within Messenger is much easier.
