Default please help

Hello I have a windows 7 ultimate and after I saved all my videos in my
portable hard drive when I had a windows XP ...anyway I installed windows 7
and tranfer all my videos to my pc from that portable hard drive ...but when
I played to see the video...all my videos are chope, or frezzes ,..or are in
slow motion , ...how I can fix my videos ? I understand have some programs to
will fix this ...? maybe lose some codecs ...were are they ...? please help
and thanks.
