Greetings,

The only thing you're going to loose is the ability for someone to send you a "Messenger
Service" message -- this doesn't effect Windows/MSN Messenger or any other Windows
application.

I think that I had to reformulate my question as jonathan Kay gave already
an answer.
So my question is the following: If I'm going to DISABLE the Messeger
Service to avoid external pop-up, what other features I'm goibg tl loose?

I suppose that you meant external pop up that I get since a certain

time.But
what about windows internal messages, are they also disabled?

Hi,

Yes -- except in Windows 2000 there is "services.msc", you have to go Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, Services to reach the services panel to turn off the service.
