Default HDs configuration

This is just a question on my configuration that I have
on my system that I'm installing.
I have 2 HDs, a DVD-ROM and a CD-RW. I have the OS HD as
the master and the CD-RW as the slave on the Primary
cable. On the secondary cable, I have the second HD as
the master and the DVD-ROM as the slave. Is this
configuration ok? Due to, whatever reason, problems
installing my new Burner, this is the only configuration
that I could get all the devices to be reconized by my
BIOS at boot-up. I think I could switch the two CD drives
to have the burner on the secondary cable and DVD on the
primary. However, I usually burn the videos and music
from the secondary HD, so I figured this would be the
optimal configuration.
What are your thoughts on this?

If it works, stick with it. It is advantageous to have the burner and the
disk that feeds it on separate IDE channels.

if you don't have a problem with it, and your system does not appear to have
a problem with it, you do not have a problem..
