Default reformat hard drive

-----Original Message-----
How can I reformat my C: hard drive and reinstall my
windows xp home addition? The drive is an older 27 gig
and has had tons of kids programs and games installed on
it as well as all kinds of internet downloads. I made a
startup disk but all it gives me is an a: prompt and i
dont know what to do from there ..
.
If you get a "C:" prompt type in format C: and it sould

do it from there

If you boot the floppy, to an a: prompt, you just type
"format C:" But if you are going to install XP, just boot
the CD and run the install, formatting and a clean install
are options.
