Hello, XP Pro right click problem
Good Morning, All replies are appreciated. I have automatic update turned on for my computer and over the last couple of weeks or so it has updated a couple of time and now when I try to use the right click button on my mouse it will not work anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction to fix it? -- billproctor Posted via http://ms-os.com Forum to Usenet gateway |

Can someone point me in the right direction to fix it? No big deal. Virtually everybody knows that updates *can* cause disasters. Just restore from your backup. Free ones are available at: Acronis True Image Seagate Edition (DiscWizard) http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/sup...ads/discwizard Acronis True Image WD Edition http://support.wdc.com/product/downl...&wdc_lang =en Paragon DriveBackup Express 9 (free) http://www.paragon-software.com/home/db-express/ -- Bill Asus EEE PC 702G4 ~ 2GB RAM ~ 16GB-SDHC Xandros Linux (build 2007-10-19 13:03) |

It's easy enough to try a different one, borrowed or bought.. Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm http://windowsxp.mvps.org/rcdelay.htm -- Joe =o) |

Hello, XP Pro right click problem
You can find the shell extension that is causing the problem
with "ShellExView". Simply disable half the items then test your right-click. Keep halving them until you narrow it down and find the one causing the crash, then disable it. ShellExView ~70 KB (Freeware) Web: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html Download: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.zip Installer: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview_setup.exe Windows 64-Bit: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview-x64.zip ju.c "billproctor" wrote in message ...
