It's the original Dell keyboard that came with the
computer. Dell tech guy said they don't have XP support
for that keyboad.

Hi,

What is the brand and model of your keyboard?
If it is all from Dell, go to Dell's website and search
for a XP compatible drivers. Or go the the keyboard
manufacturer's website to look for it.

Just upgraded to XP on Dell 8100. My dell system has a
keyboard (ps2) with 3 programable keys, plus

the "sleep"
key. Now that I switched from ME to XP, those keys no
longer work. Dell support said thats the way it is and
maybe MicroSoft has drivers or whatever to help me out.
Is there anything available to restore the operation of
those keys.?

Call Dell back and tell them that it's their hardware and they need to
support it. That's a load of horse hockey that they won't support their own
hardware.

If you don't accept the answer you've been given from Dell, say the
following words until the problem has been solved:

"Can I speak to your supervisor?"
