Insert the CD and restart the PC. You may need to re-arrange the order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD. Consult the PC's manual for specific instructions. You put the XP CD in your CD drive and restart the computer. If your BIOS is

The first thing is that the BIOS needs to be set up to boot to cdrom first.
