is there cd boot disk for win xp? like old windows start
up disk.

Greetings --

Insert the CD and restart the PC. You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD. Consult
the PC's manual for specific instructions.

You put the XP CD in your CD drive and restart the computer. If your BIOS is
set to boot from the CD drive before the hard drive, your computer will boot
from the CD.

The first thing is that the BIOS needs to be set up to boot to cdrom first.
Most recent computers have that option.
