You can try fubar2000 as the music player; you can even minimize
it to the taskbar while it's playing. Don't know if it works
with win 10 but it should. I'm not able to try it with win10 as
win10 or hyper-v don't understand usb dac/amp for audio.

You might try spelling it correctly if you're going to recommend
it. It's called "Foobar2000".

And be different from other people on the newsgroups? Haven't
seen anything on spelling being enforced except by you.

I haven't seen anybody else misspell it but you. You don't provide a
link, and if anyone tries to find something called "fubar2000" they're
not going to find it because it doesn't exist.

If you're trying to be helpful, then spell it right. If you're trying
to be a troll, then keep on doing what you're doing.

By the way, no version of Windows innately "does .flac audio". They all
need an additional codec, which is true of most formats.

Experiment: Google for fubar200

Result:

"Showing results for foobar2000
Search instead for fubar2000"

....followed by lots of hits for foobar2000, the first of which is
"www.foobar2000.org/"

Right, they'll find "Foobar2000", but they won't find the mythical
product that was recommended to them, "fubar2000".

Now, suppose you wanted an app for your mobile device so you could hook
up with the nearest women who's husbands neglect them by playing on
their computers all day. Due to my mis-spelling, you might buy
"Microsoft Windows" rather than "Microsoft Widows". You would be very
disappointed.

Then windows don't do "mp3" either nor "mkv". But then I don't use

Either way I'd be very disappointed, I already have Microsoft Windows
amd I've found that very few Microsoft Widows are interested in homely,
elderly, fat, bald guys with no money.

I did a search on the flac situation, and someone has confirmed
that leaked build 9910 (not yet available) has some new codecs. I
caught up on my preview updates (2.8GB download), and most
definitely did not get 9910 (ETA Jan22?). So I will have to
wait until that particular minimum version is available to
do my FLAC test once again. The Win10TP I did get to test,
WMP simply turned up its nose at the presence of a
couple of FLAC files. And the "MUSIC" application,
claimed I had "no music in my Music folder". So it
didn't like my .flac files either. (These were sample
Flac files provided on some site for testing.)

Third party tools will play them, so they do work,
eventually.

Both FLAC and MKV support are supposed to be in the
same release. But time will tell.

When this announcement was made a while back, I thought
the very next release would have them. But, no...

Nice try, but you don't convince me. Maybe I'm just not as stupid as

In the context where you wrote it, I don't understand the word "who's".
It's as weird as, say, fubar2000. Could you explain it to someone as
stupid as I?

Not if she's in the UK, I'm in the US, I get seasick, won't fly and
can't swim that far.

But I very much appreciate the offer!
