If you're trying to be a troll, then keep on doing what you're doing. By the way, no version of Windows innately "does .flac audio". They all need an additional codec, which is true of most formats. Now, suppose you wanted an app for your mobile device so you could hook up with the nearest women who's husbands neglect them by playing on their computers all day. Due to my mis-spelling, you might buy "Microsoft Windows" rather than "Microsoft Widows". You would be very disappointed. |

Then windows don't do "mp3" either nor "mkv". But then I don't use the word "definately". I did a search on the flac situation, and someone has confirmed that leaked build 9910 (not yet available) has some new codecs. I caught up on my preview updates (2.8GB download), and most definitely did not get 9910 (ETA Jan22?). So I will have to wait until that particular minimum version is available to do my FLAC test once again. The Win10TP I did get to test, WMP simply turned up its nose at the presence of a couple of FLAC files. And the "MUSIC" application, claimed I had "no music in my Music folder". So it didn't like my .flac files either. (These were sample Flac files provided on some site for testing.) Third party tools will play them, so they do work, eventually. Both FLAC and MKV support are supposed to be in the same release. But time will tell. When this announcement was made a while back, I thought the very next release would have them. But, no... Paul |
