Multiple Flash Drives

Hi all,
I work at a college which just purchased a lot of new PC's that are
running the XP Pro.
We have a lot of students as well as faculty that have purchase the
flash drives. Since the PC's are tied to the campuses network, we are
having a problem with using different flash drives.
I notice that when you use this drive, it takes on the next letter
from the CD or next drive. The problem is that our network drivers
start with the letter "F" and we can not change this setup.
Is there a way that we can use the different flash drives without
having to change any of the drive letters?
We know we can take each different drive letter and set it up on all
the lab computers, but this is not a viable work around.
If anyone has any help we would greatly appreciate it.

Log onto your network drives first then connect the flash drives. This will cause them to go to the next available Letter "G"

Thank you for getting back to me so fast. However, we can not and do
not allow our students to log onto any of the network drives. The
network drives that they may need access to is already pre-mapped for
them.
The other problem is that some of those network drives can not be
changed as they are being used by the instructor's.
If the drive letter is changed, is it only on that PC or will it
effect the other PC's tied to that network drive.

Then I guess I don't understand the problem. If the students aren't allowed
on the network drives, what difference does it make if their flash drives
(or any other drive, for that matter) takes the same drive letter as a
network drive they can't access?

ok, here's our solution. We took a storage device, in this case it
was the zip, assigned it a new drive letter, higher up the list and
that left the "D" drive letter open. Now when anyone attaches their
flash drive to the pc, it is recognized and they can use it.
