accessing resources on another XP machine
Hi,
I have two laptops with XP installed. They are on a Local Area Network. I want to access a shared resource on one xp machine from the other one. But when I try to access the computer it always tries to connect with guest user account. What I want is to connect with other user accounts. I even created the same user account and password on both the machines but still when I try to connect it tries to access with guest account and doesn't let me enter the user name. Please help!!!!! I can connect to other win 2000 machines successfully and vice versa. |

You could just map a drive to it.
Bring up Start-Run. Type \\TheOtherClient and hit enter Right click on the share you want and choose Map network drive In that dialog, there is an option Connect using a different user name -ben This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
