MPG or other media file to big
Hi Folks,
I have what seems like a major problem to me, but will no doubt be easy for you experts out there! I have a movie file on my hard-drive which is 1.6 mega bits. I would like to copy this to a disk and play it on my dvd player. The problem is I can only use disks which are no more than 700mb and I would like to copy this file and watch it on my dvd player. is there a way round this, such as splitting the movie onto two disks or shrinking it. Do I need to get a special kind of software?? Thans in advance for any help!!!! Ta JC |

It's not necessarily the size that is the problem, it's the length of the
file in time.... You're trying to make a VCD .... which should be about 80 minutes in length.... and you'll need the third party software to make the VCD. http://www.videohelp.com/vcd -- Cari (MS-MVP) Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "JC" wrote in message ...
