Go to the view dropdown menu at the top of your browser
window and uncheck the status bar, this should do the
trick.

-----Original Message-----
I hope I have correctly named the bar at the bottom of

my browser window so
you will know what I'm referring to. It sits down there

using up real estate
and gives such info as: working online; internet;

downloading; done, etc...
My question is - Is there a way to disable it? I run XP

Home.
