Default start up issue

my laptop is not starting

i get a black screen with the error code

oxc0000034 251/68746

the machine does try to self repair but with no success, it suggests
removing any devices that are attached, such as cameras or music players,
none of which have been attached.

have tried system restore with no success.

problem started after updating windows vista

Is the computer dual boot?
