My chevron is missing but the othere user on this computer shows the chevron

So how do I restore the Chevron. I do not recall removing them.

Prior posters assumed you meant in the Start menus. You probably meant in the system notification area (tray area) of the Windows taskbar. You never mentioned WHERE you expect to see a chevron image. We are not there looking over your shoulder to see at what your finger is pointing.
