Default How to setup performance monitor (system monitor) in Windows 8

For some strange reason, Microsoft took the File - Save dialog out of
its performance monitor.

How to make system monitor work, save MSC files...

"run mmc first, open the Add Snap-in dialog, scroll down to select
perfmon, Add, expand Performance Monitor, expand Monitoring, select
Perforamance monitor, all of that just so I can get File == Save
from the menu" (from the original author of Performance Monitor)
