Net Passport and MSN messenger
We have Windows Pro and Office 2003, (I have not used Windows Meesenger)
when I log onto my computer, Messenger automatically signs onto my hotmail account, which is what I want, but when I click onto the e-mail messages via MSN Messenger I get redirected to a site where (via Net Passport) I have the option to log on using another account or log in with this account, I have used both routes and both take me to my Hotmail messages. The only difference appears to be that one system (ie Net passport and Messenger) have been set up using capitals within my e-mail name and the other with lower case. What would be the easiest (and correct method) route to fix this problem ie via Net Passport or via Messenger? and does anyone know how I can do that? Thanks, and I hope I have posted this to the correct room. Regards Allistair (or is it allistair? LOL) |

Net Passport and MSN messenger
Greetings Allistair (and allistair),
You may just have the option in MSN Messenger to automatically "verify" your e-mail address before it lets you into Hotmail. To check open up the main Messenger window (double-click the icon in the notification area/system tray, by the clock), click the Tools menu, then Options, then Privacy tab, and verify that "Always ask me for my password when checking Hotmail or opening other .NET Passport-enabled Web pages" is *not* checked. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Allistair" wrote in message ...
