Default Windows Xp SP2 network problems / file & printers sharing problems...

Hi all,

I have a network with over 50 PC's clients in a Windows 2000 Server Domain.

There are w98, w2000, wxp and wxp SP2 clients accessing to the Server.

Well, all the w98, w2000 and wxp users logged on the Domain have no problems
on the connection, they all stay connected all the session time.

Let's go with my problem:

I am changing all the old PC's (with w98 and some with w2000) for new PC's
with wxp sp2 installed. Well, I have purchased over 7 new PC's and ALL
OFF THEM have these problems:

- After some time from the start of the logging on the Domain, the PC
user name does not appear as connected, it appears (on SESSIONS in the W2000
Server) just as the IP MACHINE and not the USER logged name on the affected
machine ( of course, the same user on a PC with w98/2000/XP-no SP2 has no
problems ) ¿ losses session ?

- When the first problem appears, the affected user can not print on a
shared printer on another "well logged" user domain network or can not
access to some shared folders onto another pc, but... still can access to
the shared folders in the W2000 Server ( but not to the local mapped network
drives on the PC ).

I repeat, all the other wxp ( no SP, SP1 or SP1a) and w98 or w2000 have not
this problem...

¿ firewall ? I have tried to deactivate it and ..... it's the same

¿ session time expiration ? No, I have tried to set the parameter to 0 ( no
client disconnect ) and .... it's the same

¿ What can I try to solve the problem ?

At the moment, I solve the situation just rebooting the system or simply
closing the session on the affected PC, by this way it seems to get logged
correctly for some more time.... but the users are getting sick of the
situation...

More information... the affected users CAN perfectly print on the network
printers ( with print server ) and access to internet or sending email ...
there are no special policies and no restriction on the domain server.

If anyone can help me I would appreciate it... I have a big problem over my
shoulders...

Many thanks in advance

(excuse me my english writting and the long text written)
