Window "look" keeps reverting
I'm having an issue that started apparently out of the blue. (i.e. - I can't
tie it into any particular event.) I keep the "Windows and Buttons" look and color scheme set to Windows Classic look, however, every time I reboot, it reverts to the Windows XP look. It's a simple matter to go back into the Control Panel/Display/Appearance and change it each time, but it's getting tiresome and I'm looking for the root of the problem and the fix. Any suggestions? |

if you are interested in
only having the classic desktop then try going into services via admin tools and disable the windows theme service. -- db·´¯`·...¸)))º DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - @Hotmail.com - nntp Postologist ~ "share the nirvana" - dbZen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Rod Munsie" wrote in message ... Thank you. I actually set it on Manual in hopes that it would leave it where
I set it. Worked on a re-boot. Let's see what happens when I do a complete shutdown overnight. That's usually when the gremlins find their way in. Thanks again. Try right click on Desktop surface and tgo to properties - change the setting there and make sure you also hit the SAVE or you will be back in XP mode again Borge in sunny Perth, Australia, changed as danish characters does not work for everybody |
