When I print, using option print to file. The print to file window opens and
under Save as Type I have the options of all files *.* or *.prn. Where did
*.docx etc go and how do I get them back. Thank you for any help. Deb

Do not use "print to file." It does not do what you think it does. Nor
does the "real" method of printing to a file create docx files or the like.

What is it that you are trying to achieve?

Thank you for your response.

I think your response helped me solve this. I want to save (not print) a
word file to desktop to attach to an email, that the recipeint can open.

Thanks Deb
