error message with dll
problem solved ...thanks for your help
"Elmo" wrote: LP wrote: hi there Whenever I turn on my pc I get 2 error messages (clelvcpa.dll and atuvasax.dll) How can I find out what applications these relate to? regards Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3, type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue the search. You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop. If you remove it and there's a problem, double-click the .reg file you exported to the Desktop and it'll be added to the registry again. You can create a restore point before editing the registry too. -- Joe =o) . |

error message with dll
If the message does not appear in Safe Mode then it is highly likely that it
is generated by an item under the Startup tab or under the Services tab. Physically disconnect your machine from the Internet, then untick all items under the Startup tab. If still unsuccessful, untick all non-Microsoft items under the Services tab (note the "Hide Microsoft Services" tick box!). I wrote that the error message is the result of an infection that your scanner *removed*. In other words, the infection is no longer there and your malwarebytes and superantispyware will *not* detect anything! You now need to use the recipe I gave you to prevent the program from starting that causes the error message. That program is not infected but it is a nuisance. "LP" wrote in message ...
