XP Home Edition Start-up
My computer will not start up normally. When I try to start up it works only
until the welcome screen and restarts. I have to start in 'safe mode' and use 'start up with last settings that worked.' The only visible change after start up is that the tool bar on the bottom of the screen is white. Also, I have tried the system restore, but get a premature shutdown, cannot restore message. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank You -- Fred

(often it works in safe mode but not in normal boot)
