Windows xp pro security log system is full.
When trying to log into windows xp pro, a message is displayed that says "The
security log on this system is full. Only administrators can log on to fix the problem." How do I log on, there is only one local account and it won't let me use that. Any suggestions/fixes? Thanks |

Sorry Frank, should have sent this in the original message
click start click run, in the box type eventvwr.msc when it opens, first clear the security log then in the left hand pane right click the security log, select properties and under log size select overwrite events as needed JOn "frankd14321" wrote in message ... ok, I got logged in through safe mode and typing administrator in the user box. Not really sure as I dont use smart cards. This is a question that some of
the others on this group are better equipped to deal with. Jon "frankd14321" wrote in message ... Thank you, one more thing i have a problem with now.
