Default Windows Messenger - Auto Sign In Problem

I have Norton Internet Security install and I’ve notice that when de MSN
Messenger tries to log on during startup, Norrton Internet Security haven’t
started yet, and it’s blocking any network traffic, so Messenger can’t log
on. How can I tell Messenger to wait until Norton starts to try and log on??
Is there a delay I can set up??
