Movie Maker
Whenever I run Windows Media Maker (in Accessories) to try and edit a short
movie file, the programme crashes. I want to know if I can re-install just WMM or if there is a way to fix it without having to re-install my XP Home OS, and Service Pack 2 all over again. I tried a download of SP2 but I got "Access Denied" halfway through. Are the files specific enough for me to copy them from our second PC onto my PC, just those, so as to overwrite the files for Windows Movie Maker that I suppose have got somehow corrupted. I can't find an individual download of just WMM as it seems to be written directly into XP. Thanks in advance. |

Hi, I don't have the answers to your problem but I'm wondering if you have ever gone to the "Windows Movie Maker.net Forums" yet? Also, "PapaJohn.org" site? He has a special section devoted to problems such as crashes in Movie Maker.
Windows Movie maker Forums is at: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ PapaJohn's is at: http://www.papajohn.org/ Any time I have problems with this program, I usually find the answers there. It would be great if you would post here what you learn from there in order to help others. Hope this helps, Rickie Lee Quote:
