Recovering data from a computer with a failed mobo
Hello,
I had an emachine (i know you get what you pay for but it did last for a few years) and the power supply failed and took out the mother board with it. I have written it off as a loss as i don't have the time or resources to try to get a new mobo installed. So my question is: Can I take the hard drive out of the desktop and somehow get some connectors and hook it to my laptop so i can recover the data that was on there? My laptop is an Compaq Presario with XP Pro. Thanks! scooter |

They have what are called external USB drive cases. There are cases for both
PATA and SATA drives. So if your laptop has a USB port you may be able to access the info. See: newegg.com JS "scooter" u26005@uwe wrote in message news:6598afda8e52b@uwe...
