Default Audio Question

I'm new to all this. I have sound on a video clip and then place a audio clip
to it.....both play at the same time...how can I delete the sound coming from
the video clip...or the other way around. for example:

the sound coming from the video is from a clip of a movie...I don't want the
sound (of the movie clip) during the whole video I'm making only the
music....and then at the end of the video i want the sound of the movie to
come back....is there a certain editing tool I don't know about?

Thanx

=====================
Just right click / mute the track you
wish to silence. And if you wish to
mute selected portions of a track...
split it on each side and mute just
that section.

Maybe something in the following
tutorial will work for you:

"Splitting A Clip In MM2.1"

Drag the video/audio clip to the
Timeline.

Play the video/audio by clicking the
"Play" button under the view screen.

You will see the Playback Indicator
(vertical line) advancing across the
timeline.

Click the "Pause" button at the point
where you wish to trim and type...
Ctrl+L or click the "Split" button at the
bottom of the view screen.
(you can also make adjustments by
dragging the Playback Indicator)

Make as many splits as you want and
silence the unwanted audio by right
click / mute.

Or....

Make as many splits as you want and
remove the unwanted clips by right
click / delete.
