2-DVD-Roms Shows up
My system has a single CD/DVD-RW. However; using windows explorer, I see 2
of them labeled as shown: DVD-RAM Drive (H) DVD Drive (R) They show up as the H and R drive. When DVD is put in, only the H drive recognizes the disk. Why is this the case and what do I do? When I see the words RAM, I'm thinking that is a drive in Memory. Any help is appreciated.

DVD-RAM is a DVD format, in addition to DVD+ and DVD- What you are seeing is normal. Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, delete/remove ALL CD/DVD drives

Do you have any dvd-rom emulators installed? No I have not had any of the emulators installed, that I know of. I just
put this computer together with a new motherboard, AMD 3800 processor & Memory. It does have the Media interface where you can put a Card Reader/Rewriter... I guess for camera cards. This is also where the USB's are located. Added Note: It's the H drive, the one that says DVD-RAM that changes when every a DVD or CD is put in. I did read some stuff about this and it does appear to be a better format
than DVD+ or DVD-. However, why does both drive show up on Windows Explorer? As I answered "SingaporeWebDesign", only the H-Drive (that Says DVD-RAM) recognizes when a DVD or CD is inserted. Unless Roxio Ver 9 does that automatically with out realizing it.

If you never use it, I'm sure that there is a setting somewhere in the options for the software. Just try to find something that deals with "virtual drives," and turn it off... There you go. I killed off my Roxio/Sonic stuff. Caused me nothing but trouble. I had an extra nonexistent CD Drive showing up, too. And it was the "default" so I couldn't use my own CD Burning software. I had to go in and change the registry keys under Nero to point to the real, physical CD Drive. In-CD is part of Nero, not Roxio.

Yup, you are correct. I never use any of those things, so I forget what
they are called. I only have one virtual drive (a real one) from Alcohol 120%. I don't need any of that CD-RW / DVD-RW trickery to make them work like a regular HD or Floppy...
