Thanks for telling us. I am assuming you would like us to combine the
subject line and the body of the message and read into it what you are
wanting/what you have/what you have tried...

Let's give that a shot, shall we.

- You have a computer. It could be a desktop with a wired keyboard/mouse.
It could be a laptop. Who knows...?

- You have Windows XP. After all - why would you have posted here...? Of
course - we don't know much else (Service Pack/patch level... Version of
Windows XP... etc.)

- You seem to be saying that when you are typing in a document (wordpad,
notepad, outlook express, web form, outlook, word, excel, powerpoint, word
perfect, open office, etc - who knows...?) the cursor seems to 'jump' to
another location.

Now let's really go out on a limb - do some major guessing...

- Using a laptop? With a touchpad? Turn it off and use an external mouse -
see if the jumpiness occurs anymore.
- Have a wireless mouse/keyboard (USB or Bluetooth)? Check the batteries,
make sure you don't have any cell phones/cordless phones too close and
update the drivers for the devices from the manufacturer's web support
pages.

Come back - let us know more informatiopn or if one of my WAGs worked out
for you. ;-)
