Default Printing a Wordpad document

My printer prints everything I ask it to perfectly until I ask it to print
something created in Wordpad. The tops of capital letters are missing on
some lines, kind of defeating the idea of "rich text format". Did I mention
that, the - printer - is - not - at - fault - here...

Who created this document, and what program was used?

Is the file extension .rtf or something else?

Does the document look correct on the screen?

Perhaps you need something more robust than Wordpad. Abiword is a decent
free standalone word processing program. Open Office is a decent free
suite of office programs:
