Default Can the day, weekday be shown on the clock

Normal taskbar display for the clock is just time.
I have expanded the taskbar to 2 lines (which is gaudy) and it now shows
the date, day, and time all in 3 rows.
I sure would like to get at least time and date or time and date.
Anyone know of a solution? Ideally it would be nice to expand the width
not the height.

TClockEx (do a Google for latest version) is a great clock applet (free)
that I have used for years with Win'98 Win2K & WinXP.

Hover your mouse over the bar and once it goes to double arrow drag the bar
up as Big Al says it looks gaudy, I use TClock like SoCalCommie suggested

Forget Tclock, AlfaClock Free version 1.90 is the best.

Just grab the top of the task bar and drag it upwards. If you have
about 5 or 6 programs open they spread out on two rows, also the clock
now has more room to properly display. I say properly display, as I
think this is what Microsoft intended but hell, how many users use this,
its ugly.

Fair Enough.

Thanks.

But you have to unlock the taskbar first.

You're right, but then I do that on day one when I load XP. Never
think about it again. Oops!

Simple, first you must make sure that your taskbar is not locked, do
this by right clicking on a blank area of the taskbar. When the pop-up
menu appears look towards the bottom for the line Lock The Taskbar, if
there is a check mark beside it your taskbar is locked. Clicking on
that line of text will toggle the lock on or off. When you unlock the
taskbar, it will have a slightly different appearance from it's locked
state. Then hover the pointer at the top until it changes to a double
arrow, then click the left mouse button and make it as big as you want it.

Only problem is that the download is not a free version. Or at least it
loads and then when run, it says, unregistered, 30 day trial expired and
dies. Won't run. Its version 1.99 so maybe the author forgot to
make it a free version when they compiled it.

Download.com played a fast one on you and gave
you version 1.99. Version 1.90 is the only
unrestricted free version. I searched for 1.90, and
after an hour I found only one download link. All
others linked to 1.99. This one is confirmed, by me,
to be 1.90. I don't know when this started because
version 1.90 was widely available about a year ago.
I strongly suggest you save a copy to CD, as this
best copy is quickly disappearing.

I hope you got the right one this time. I verified its
MD5 hash:

91AE8286A72D43123941BE360832A636

against a copy that I saved long ago. If somehow
you didn't, I could upload it somewhere. I wonder,
could I attach it to a Newsgroup message?
Should I? I don't think so...

I got the right one. It even seems to run :-)
Thanks. It will go on the thumb drive with all other utils. I've got
4 gigs of them that I trust and use from time to time. Thanks again.
