This appears when I shut down my pc, as its shutting down it comes up with
the "not responding end now process".

I have searched the internet and cant find much on how to sort this out. Can
you help.

I have the Virgin Media PCguard package running, this has anti-virus,
firewall, spyware etc...

Also have:
Spybot Search & Destroy
Free Adaware SE

I have the same problem with my computer running windows xp sp2. I also just
installed all the updates on my laptop and now that conputer also does the
same thing upon shutdown. It's a little disconcerning because I don;t know
why it does or if I should worry.

Could this be a network issue, like if I'm using utorrent or something?

I'm having the same problem as Maria (also got Virgin Media PC Guard etc).
Anyone have any ideas yet?
This is so frustrating as there seems to be no advies out there which can be
useful.

Cheers

One suggestion by Nasdaq towards the end of this thread:

"Delete this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\flag ace stupid data

Hi ,dump PCguard package, and install Zonealarm , and Avast virus
protection , I was originally using Netguard & PC Guard both were
troublesome
I did this back about 2 years ago. Today I have no prolems with Internet or
networking . If I remember correctly they did state themselves to being
having
problems with certain applications ,such as IE7. Incidently these are free
apps

I also experience this event but if I shut down my Antivirus program
before shutting down windows the Uipopuphidden dialog does not occur and
Windows shuts down normally.
Try shutting down the Antivirus before clicking Windows shutdown.

Hi - I think you're replying to a very old/stale thread that is no longer on
the server. Also, you haven't quoted the original text, so it's unlikely
that anyone
will know what you're talking about. Me Too posts won't get you much help -
best to post a new message with all the details.

Instead of using the forum you're in, use a newsreader - it's a much better
way to access and use these newsgroups. Some options are Forte Agent,
Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required.

The following is from a post by MVP Malke ...
