Default Network share checking help

Hi Guys,

I need help working out how to check if a network share is available when a
user log's on,

such as \\pc1\user3

if that share is available
Map the network drive to t: for example
And then set the user's my documents path to t:\my_documents
else
set the user's my documents path to something local such as d:\user\
my_documents
end if

There is a bit more stuff I want to do with this, but this will get me
started.
