Default Cannot See Networked Computers

One desktop hardwired to network, two laptops (1 and 2) connected wirelessly.
All with different IP addresses in the network (192.168.2.X). THEY ARE ALL
CONNECTED, yet I cannot see them all from the laptops. When I go to the
entire network in Windows Explorer, I can see my network, MSHOME (clever,
huh) and when I'm at the desktop I can see all three computers. But at
Laptop 1, I can only see Laptop 1 -- not either of the other two computers.
When I'm at Laptop 2, I can see the desktop and Laptop 2, but not Laptop 1.
Nevertheless, I can print from either laptop to the printer attached to the
desktop, so I know they're connected.

Pinging is inconsistent as well. I can ping from all three computers to the
gateway, but only some of the time can I ping between Lartop 2 and the
desktop, and I have never been able to ping to Laptop 1 from the Desktop.

Any suggestions?

Do you have 3rd party security software? Or for troubleshooting, run clean
boot.

Hi
Make sure that the Software Firewall on each computer allows free local
traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall On, Vista/XP Native Firewall should
be Off, and the active Firewall has to adjusted to your Network IP numbers
on what is some time called the Trusted Zone (consult your 3rd Party
Firewall instructions.
