O.T. Faster way of send file to online storage

Most people are going to be limited by their default 15G total storage for gmail & drive. I have 1TB storage given to me by Microsoft because of subscription to Office 365. The cost was almost negligible at the time. It is due for renewal next June. -- With over 350 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

Or run your own http server that's only up when you want to transfer a file. Can be accessed by anything with a web browser. www.rejetto.com I use it for local file transfer when I don't want to hassle with all the setup and passwords and compatibility issues between operating systems. Of course, you'd probably want to use passwords if you expose it to the web. Just turn it off after she gets the file. Good choice. More common and less complicated. Why didn't I think of that? I hope HFS supports resumable download because it would likely be needed to transfer large files. |

More recent and more comprehensive answer from the developer in the faq, which is a good one: http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.ph...ons_(En glish) 13 My download is interrupted! Does HFS support resuming of partially downloaded files? 14 Which download managers does HFS support? 15 Do I need to have my computer powered up and to be online? 16 My friend is uploading to my HFS server, but the upload got interrupted. How could I resume the upload? -- Mike Easter |

Quote from above FAQ answer: "Currently, the HTTP 1.1 specification does not include commands for resuming partial uploads. Therefore, this feature will not be implemented in future versions of HFS. (Unless FTP support is implemented.) HFS can be configured to delete partially uploaded files." I didn't realize HTTP doesn't have any specifications for that. Not even HTTP/2. I guess FTP is the simplest common way to go for uploading big files. |

I see one which could handle the OP request; it will allow a free 2G file, but I can't tell about the bandwidth. Then each end could use such as a filezilla or whatever. -- Mike Easter |
