Are you using File, Print (and then selecting the printer) or just hitting
the printer icon on the toolbar. I can't think what might be wrong with Word Pad (other than no black ink in the cartridge) but there have been some problems with Word Perfect... you might want to visit the Corel website since Word Perfect certainly isn't a Microsoft product.
