Default PRINTER PROBLEMS

I HAVE A PRESARIO 700 LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS XP. I'M TRYING
TO HOOK UP TO AN HP 750 PRINTER. I HAVE PLUG&PLAY BUT IT
WON'T DOWNLOAD AUTOMATICALLY LIKE IT SHOULD. I CAN
DOWNLOAD MANUALLY BUT MY COMPUTER STILL WILL NOT TALK TO
THE PRINTER. I'VE TRYED EVERYTHING I KNOW HOW TO DO. I'M
NO COMPUTER WIZ, SO IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME I WOULD
APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH.

Hi Debra
I dont know about your laptop, but with Windows XP and HP printers the
general rule is to download the latest XP printer driver from HP and save
it to disk. Disconnect the printer and then remove it via Control Panel
Add/Remove. Install the software ( driver) and then connect up the printer
again. Windows XP will find and install the printer and driver. If it doesnt
install the driver do it from the folder where you saved it

Default PRINTER PROBLEMS

Please turn off your Caps Lock. It's considered shouting, is extremely rude
and makes the posting very difficult to read.

First ensure you have gotten rid of anything you might have installed with
reference to the printer by using the instructions at:

Download a new set of drivers from the HP website at
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...3-1/enu_xp.exe

Follow the instructions for installation at the HP website at:
http://tinyurl.com/iutn
