XP Network Shared HP2200
Hi there. Hope someone can help. I have a smallish school
network which I look after and I have been moving the PCs onto XP pro. I have one user though who has problems printing to a HP 2200. When she first logs on everything is fine and she can print but after a while Windows will error with "You are not authorised to use this printer" or such like. I've checked her security permissions and added her exclusivly to the pinter but still no joy! Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks. |

XP Network Shared HP2200
By smalllish, how many PCs are we talking about. XP Home has a limit of 5
PCs, XP Pro has a limit of 10. If the one user is the 11th PC, she will have to wait until one of the other 10 has logged off. No solution, other than to move to a Server-Client network by using something like the Windows Small Business Server which supports up to 49 PCs and the Server. More than 49 and you're going to have to go with the full 'grown up' Windows 2003 Server family. Cari www.coribright.com "James" wrote in message ... Hi there. Hope someone can help.
