Default Can't print page test from printer properties

Windows xp pro sp2. Printer is on LPT1 ECP as recommended by manufacturer
(Primera)
Error message : Test page can not be print. Impossible to terminate this
operation.
The story : On windows xp (no service pack) no problem to print test page
and print from the sofware. With SP2, I hand-up with the error message. But
cartridge clieaning from printer options respond perfectly. Also, printer
self-test print as required.
Take note that printer was working perfect until I reinstall Windows xp pro
on my computer. I will appreciate your input to solve it.
Thank you in advance for your help !
