Default changing your printer status

All of my printers are on a offline status. I don't know how that happened
and i can't figure out how to change them to online. I just recently added a
new hp photosmart printer to my laptop and that one is also offline
preventing me from printing.

If all the devices are connected to USB ports, it sounds like something is
up with the USB bus.
