Default use usb port for Canon printer?

I have a Canon BJC-4400 printer. If I can find the proper connector cable,
will it work in a USB port? Book says it needs a parallel cable.

Look on the back of the printer for a USB connection, if it has one it will
work with a USB port, if it doesn't it won't, you'd have to buy a USB to LPT
convert cable.
