Suggest you use a third-party utility to totally blitz the drive then try
installing from scratch again. And this time, let it finish - don't turn off
halfway through!

you can format again your OS.
after that reinstall again and let them install until finish don`t
stop.
Because it will destroy your system again.

Default having problems with os disks plz help

There is some info missing..
What OS is actually installed when you try to install XP???
Are you trying to install XP over Vista64 or same partition/diffferent
partition/different HD???..what???

The normal procedure for a dual boot system would be to have the older OS
installed 1st.
Then to install the newer OS onto a different partition or HD.
The last install will overwrite the bootsector (MBR) of the older install
and usually create the dual boot menu that you see when you boot.

What exactly are YOU trying to accomplish??
