wireless network connection
I am having a problem putting a laptop with XP on my wired/wireless network.
It works wired, but I cannot enter the 64 character key for the wireless connection, it seems only to take a maximum of 32 characters. Is this true or do I have something set wrong (Vista just comes up with no problem)?? Lee |

What mode of wireless encryption are you using (WEP-64, WEP-128, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK)? Assuming that you are using WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK, my understanding that the maximum length password for XP is 63 characters. -- Lem -- MS-MVP Apollo 11 - 40 years ago: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/ap...0th/index.html |

wireless network connection
Hi, Jack
(oops, will I get into trouble for that?) Thanks for helping. I found the solution tov my problem wasfinding out what I didn't know. I solved the problem by instituting a "Guest" logon for my friend, but the problem was I didn't understand the whole key concept until I looked in the "book". Try to learn something new every day. Thanks for the response! Lee "Jack-MVP" wrote in message ... Hi Are you sure that the Laptop Wireless Card support advanced encryption. What is the laptop Model number?
